The Chef Fresh Story

Our great food starts with our buyers scouring the markets using Marsh’s buying power to find absolutely the best meats, produce and other ingredients. Five days a week, our skilled staff begins before sunrise and prepares the food carefully under the watchful eyes of our trained chefs, Quality Assurance manager and the USDA inspector.

We quick chill each item as soon as it is ready, to seal in the flavor and freshness at it’s peak. The food is then packaged in a temperature controlled environment, carefully loaded onto our own trucks, and delivered to our stores so that it can be available for sale at it’s flavor peak.

In terms of convenience, our food is available chilled, ready to take home and heat up, or hot, ready to eat from the Marsh deli hot foods area. Our hot foods are a sensible alternative to fast food or pizza, and purchased cold we are a better choice than frozen food or mixes you prepare at home.

We do not use any added preservatives to maintain freshness, preferring to produce frequently to maintain freshness. Our menu isn’t loaded with fried foods, and our traditional recipes and production techniques produce a wholesome experience much more akin to eating home cooked meals than most other forms of prepared foods.

While you may have heard a lot of buzz about “Home Meal Replacement,” we don’t want to replace your meal at home, we just want to help prepare it for you. Think of us more as a “Home Meal Solution”!

Prepared by our Chefs in the Marsh Kitchens, Chef Fresh Meals are made fresh daily and contain no preservatives to ensure a real “homemade” taste. We follow time-honored recipes, use the highest quality and freshest ingredients, and add a few of our special secrets to make sure Chef Fresh meals are fresh, tasty and nutritious.

Chef Fresh includes a wide variety of Cold Salads, Dinner Entrees, Side Dishes, Soups, and BBQ. Check the Deli departments at your local Marsh Supermarkets, stores, and Village Pantry Convenience stores.

Black Bean & Corn Salad
Hearty black beans, tender whole kernel corn, and red and green peppers in a light vinaigrette. This simple cold salad will light up your taste buds with an explosion of flavor.

Bowtie Pasta Salad
Sundried Tomatoes, olives and Havarti Cheese tossed with bowtie pasta in a basil pesto dressing. A big flavor that you will enjoy.

Chicken Salad
Tender morsels of all white meat chicken in a light dressing with just a hint of garlic.

Grilled Chicken Pasta Salad
A Marsh original. Tender strips of grilled Chicken breast tossed with colorful peppers and celery, in a honey mustard dressing with penne pasta. Chicken salad and pasta salad in a match made in heaven!

Italian Vegetable Salad
Two types of squash, three colors of bell peppers, olives, celery and carrots in a tangy vinaigrette with garlic. A cool, crisp and refreshing side dish

Penne Pasta with Asparagus
Tender asparagus, penne pasta, and Parmesan cheese make a pasta and vegetable side dish that will complement any meal.

Smoked Chicken Salad

Chinese Noodle Salad
