Veterinarians have been prescribing approved animal
drugs that are similiar to human drugs for years.
In 1994, the Animal Medicinal Drug Use Clarification
Act (AMDUCA) was passed to allow veterinarians
to prescribe human drugs to pets. The active
ingredient in your pet's medication may be
the same as human drugs, although typically
in a different concentration. Talk to your
veterinarian and our pharmacist to discuss
the best treatment options for your pet.
