3-lbs. Corned Beef
6 Carrots, cut in half lengthwise
6 Potatoes, cut in half lengthwise
1 medium size head of Cabbage, quartered
6 Turnips, quartered
Place corned beef in large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 1/2 hours. Remove meat from pot. Put potatoes, turnips, carrots and cabbage in cooking liquid. Place meat on top of vegetables. Return liquid to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
