Cheddar Baked Chicken

A warm comfort food that will entice the entire family. Start with fresh Perdue Split Chicken Breasts from your Meat Department and this simple recipe to create the perfect "family meal".


2 1/2 to 3-lbs. Split Chicken Breasts
2 Tbsps. Melted Butter
1 10-12-oz. can Cheddar Cheese Soup, undiluted
2 Tbsps. Chopped Pimiento
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
11/2 tsps. Dried Parsley Flakes

Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange chicken breasts in a single layer in baking dish, skin side down. Drizzle chicken with the melted butter, then bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Turn chicken skin side up and bake for 20 minutes longer. In a small bowl, combine cheese soup, pimiento and chili powder. Pour over chicken then sprinkle with parsley. Return to oven for 20 minutes longer, or until chicken is tender. Serves 4 to 6.
