Asian Pork Tacos
Red cabbage and cilantro naturally cool the succulent hoisin pork filling while fresh chiles contribute heat. Hoisin sauce, a blend of soybeans, garlic, chile peppers and spices, is available in the Asian section of your Marsh Supermarket.
- 30 min.
1. Trim fat from pork. Cut pork into thin strips. Place pork in a large resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish.
2. For marinade, combine hoisin sauce, lime juice, honey, garlic, salt, ginger, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, Sriracha sauce, red pepper flakes and black pepper. Reserve ¼ cup marinade to serve with tacos, if desired. Pour remaining marinade over pork in bag; seal bag. Turn to coat meat. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 12 hours, turning bag occasionally.
3. Drain pork; discard marinade. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry pork, half at a time, in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender.
4. Meanwhile, warm tortillas in a grill pan. Add pork strips to tortillas. Top with cabbage, sliced chiles and cilantro. If desired, heat reserved hoisin marinade and serve with tacos.
