Grilled Pizza

Feel like pizza tonight? Fire up the grill and top a simple dough with your favorite savory toppings.

1. Heat grill for direct cooking to medium heat.

2. Prepare pizza crust with 1/2 cup hot water according to package directions. Press dough with floured fingers into a 12-inch oval on a greased cookie sheet. Brush top of  crust with 2 teaspoons of the olive oil. Quickly flip the pizza dough, oiled side down, onto preheated grill. Brush top with remaining 2 teaspoons olive oil. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes, watching carefully not to burn.

3. Using a pizza peel or large spatula, quickly flip crust. Working quickly, top grilled side of crust with pizza sauce, cooked sausage, bell pepper, red onion and mozzarella cheese. Close grill and cook 1 to 2 minutes longer or until crust is cooked through and cheese begins to melt. If desired, sprinkle with basil leaves.
