Ham and Cheese Potato Bake
Yukon gold potatoes are especially good for creamy rich casseroles because they hold their shape well during baking. Be sure to slice the potatoes uniformly so they cook evenly.

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. For sauce, in a medium saucepan cook onion and garlic in hot butter over medium heat until tender. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat.
2. Spread 1/3 of the sauce in a greased 3-quart rectangular baking dish. Top with half of the potatoes, ham and Asiago cheese. Add another third of sauce. Top with remaining potatoes, ham and Asiago cheese. Spoon remaining sauce on top. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for 40 to 50 minutes more or until potatoes are tender. Let stand, uncovered, for 10 minutes before serving.
Quick Tip: Covering the potatoes during the first part of baking seals in steam, which helps promote even cooking. Uncovering them towards the end adds nice browning on top.
