Hot Buttered RumChata
This warm and comforting drink will heat things up on a chilly day. It’s perfectly enhanced by a buttered rum mix made with brown sugar and holiday spices.

Pour RumChata into a heatproof mug, filling about half full; set aside. In a glass measure, combine the hot water and Buttered Rum Mix. Using a fork, stir RumChata vigorously; while stirring, slowly add Buttered Rum Mix. If desired, garnish with whipped cream and nutmeg.
BUTTERED RUM MIX
In a medium bowl, combine ½ cup softened butter, 2 cups packed dark brown sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg and ½ teaspoon ground cloves. Beat with an electric mixer until thoroughly combined. Cover and chill until almost firm. Makes enough mix for about 12 drinks and will store up to 10 days in a refrigerator.
