Mulled Honeycrisp Sangria
This Spanish spin on traditional mulled wine incorporates spices, fresh apples, hard cider, and an apple brandy called applejack. It’s perfectly soothing on a chilly day.

- In a large saucepan, combine wine, sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove spices; reserve cinnamon sticks for garnish. Add hard cider, applejack, oranges and chopped apples.
- To serve, ladle sangria and fruit into mugs. If desired, garnish each drink with an apple slice and reserved cinnamon stick.
